ACME EQUIPMENT COMPANY was started in 1919
when William "Bill" Gard was discharged from the Navy after WWI. Used equipment was his specialty, until his two sons joined
him after WWII. The company then became a dealer in both new and used equipment, such as excavators; rail, truck, and crawler
cranes; loaders; mining equipment; etc.
In 1982 the company name was changed to ACME CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT COMPANY,
and was moved from Detroit to suburban Novi, Michigan. The company now specializes in used material handling machines, wheel
loaders and scrap handlers. Most of the machines sold have been overhauled and put in good working condition. We invite you
